Brand-New Gruffalo Party Trail
To celebrate The Gruffalo's 25th Birthday, a brand-new Gruffalo Party Trail is launching on 24th January 2024 at participating Forestry England sites! The trail involves finding missing party items, picking a present for The Gruffalo, as well as other woodland activities.
The trail is designed to be a fun experience for children and a great way for families to spend quality time together outdoors. Click here to find a participating Forest near you.
Meet Bluey and Bingo at West Midland Safari Park
Join Bluey and Bingo at West Midland Safari Park on weekdays this February Half Term (12th-16th February 2024). They will be making appearances at the Safari Academy throughout the day. During the meet and greet sessions, your children can interact with them and take photos.
In addition to the Bluey and Bingo meet and greet, West Midland Safari Park is home to a vast array of animals, offering visitors the chance to see exotic wildlife up close. The main attraction is the safari drive-through, where visitors can witness animals such as lions, giraffes, and elephants in a naturalistic setting. Additionally, there are walk-through exhibits featuring everything from reptiles to bats. The park also boasts a variety of small rides and a play area.

Alton Towers Resort Pirate Takeover
Embark on a treasure-seeking journey this February Half Term by heading to the Pirate Takeover at Alton Towers Resort. Whether you visit for a thrilling day out or a memorable short stay, immerse yourself in the world of pirates in Mutiny Bay!

Cadbury World: Freddo's Treasure Trove
Cadbury World will reopen on 8th February 2024 after refurbishment. From 10th - 18th February, and on weekends only from 19th February - 17th March 2024, Freddo's Treasure Trove show will be taking place in the Entertainment Marquee at regular intervals throughout the day. Cadbury World is a great place to visit no matter the weather.
Please note: The Have A Go Zone and Bournville Experience will be closed until the end of March 2024.

Warwick Castle: Festival of Archery
Prepare to join in the excitement at Warwick Castle as the Festival of Archery takes over the castle's expansive 64-acre grounds from the 10th - 19th February 2024. Expert archers at the castle will showcase their skills in thrilling performances, with bows bending and arrows flying right before your eyes. The event will include live shows, daring challenges, interactive quizzes, opportunities for visitors to try archery, and a grand finale shoot-off, ensuring that the Festival of Archery will add some family fun to your plans for the February Half Term.
Additionally, visitors can explore the Zog Playland, specially designed for fans of the character Zog, navigate through the Horrible Histories Maze, watch the Winter Birds of Prey display, and learn about Warwick Castle's fascinating history.

Drayton Manor: Dinosaur Breakout
Drayton Manor is a popular theme park and zoo located in Staffordshire. The park is home to a wide variety of rides and attractions, including roller coasters, water rides, and family-friendly activities. In addition to the rides, Drayton Manor also features a zoo with over 100 species of animals, including tigers, monkeys, and birds.
During the February half-term (10th - 20th February 2024), Drayton Manor is hosting a "Dinosaur Breakout" event, where your children can come face to face with Jurassic giants to a-roar-able baby dinosaurs.
Please note: Only Thomas Land and the 15-acre zoo is open during the February half-term.

National Forest Adventure Farm: New Life on the Farm
National Forest Adventure Farm is an exciting and educational attraction in Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire. It offers a wide range of activities for visitors of all ages, including outdoor adventures, animal encounters, and indoor soft play. Visitors can all the farm has to offer including seasonal events such as the Easter Eggstravaganza, Halloween Spooktacular, Dino Week, and The North Pole Adventure - I can vouch that they're all incredible events!
This February (10th – 25th February), there's a new New Life on the Farm event, where you can say hello to the cute new arrivals in the Animal Barn and on the Ewe Maternity Ward, have a go at feeding the baby lambs and try your hand at our Farming activities. If you book for the ‘New Life on the Farm’ event, you will be able to return for ‘Easter Eggstravaganza’ at half price!

Lower Drayton Farm: Lambs & Ewe Event
Lower Drayton Farm is hosting a lovely event for families to enjoy the adorable lambs and ewes this February. This interactive and educational event allows visitors to get up close and personal with the farm's newborn lambs and their mothers. The event includes activities such as bottle-feeding the lambs, learning about the different breeds of sheep, and even the chance to witness a lamb being born.
Additionally, families can take scenic tractor rides around the farm, and explore the farm's outdoor play areas and the huge indoor soft play (one of our faves!). Lower Drayton Farm hosts lots of great events throughout the year, including the Easter Egg-Venture, Dino Discovery, Pick Your Own Pumpkins, and Jingle Ville.

Hatton Adventure World: Dick Whittington Panto
Hatton Adventure World is a family-friendly attraction located in Warwick. It offers a wide range of activities for visitors of all ages, including animal encounters, rides, and indoor play areas. The farmyard area allows children to get up close and personal with animals such as guinea pigs, while the outdoor play areas and indoor soft play, provide plenty of opportunities for kids to let off steam.
This half-term, there will also be a Dick Whittington pantomime. The admission ticket price does not include the pantomime - it's an additional £3 extra per person (online-only offer).

Attwell Farm Park
Explore new life on the farm during the February half-term at Attwell Farm Park. From 10th-26th February, families can meet the lambs, help Farmer Dale locate his lost sheep, meet the new petting barn residents, and more!
Attwell Farm Park offers a wholesome and enjoyable day out for the whole family, combining the charm of a farm with fun activities, indoor soft play, outdoor play areas, and educational experiences.

Twycross Zoo
Twycross Zoo is a renowned wildlife conservation centre and family-friendly attraction. Home to over 500 animals representing around 125 species, including primates, giraffes, elephants, and more, the zoo offers visitors a diverse range of animal exhibits and interactive experiences.
With keeper talks, play areas for children, The Gruffalo Discovery Land, and events throughout the year, Twycross Zoo provides a memorable and enriching day out for families. What's more, if you pay to visit Twycross Zoo for a day, you get to visit for free for a whole year.

Kenilworth Castle: History Makers
Experience historical fun and interactive events at Kenilworth Castle during this February half term (10th-18th February). Immerse yourself in interactive storytelling to gain a deeper insight into what it means to become a knight. Once you have mastered the manners of a knight, you can then learn the necessary skills to become a powerful warrior at our sword school. Upon completing the training successfully, your child will be honored with the prestigious title of knight by the king!

All Things Wild Nature Centre: Zookeeper Adventure
All Things Wild Nature Centre is a family-friendly wildlife park and nature centre located in Evesham, Worcestershire. It offers a wide range of experiences for visitors of all ages, including animal encounters, hands-on activities, and educational exhibits. The park is home to a variety of animals such as zebra, monkeys, meerkats, reptiles, and birds of prey. In addition to its animal attractions, the centre also has adventure playgrounds, a dinosaur walk, and indoor soft play, making it a great day out for families.

WILD Zoological Park
WILD Zoological Park is home to a diverse range of animal species, from endangered big cats to rare birds and reptiles. WILD Zoological Park is reopening for the February half-term and has a brand-new dinosaur experience show running twice per day, as well as its other shows: Wallaby feeding/talk, Wild Wonderers animal show, Meerkat feeding/talk, Talcons Bird of Prey Show, and an Otter feeding/talk.

Severn Valley Railway: Meet The Gruffalo
Enjoy a lovely journey on a heritage train through the countryside to meet and greet the Gruffalo, who will make regular appearances at scheduled times during the day at The Engine House Visitor Centre in Highley from 13 to 15 February. The Engine House Visitor Centre also has interactive exhibits and an outdoor play area.

Forge Mill Farm: Lambing Week
Forge Mill Farm is a cheap way to spend a few hours, with a family ticket (2 adults and 3 children) costing just £23. It's a very popular small farm with locals. This half-term (10th-18th February) is lambing week, which involves meeting lambs, kids, and expectant mums, testing your shepherding knowledge in the lambing quiz, springtime crafts and activities, and meeting the farmers to hear their stories.

Smethwick Puppetry Festival (FREE)
Black Country Touring is inviting people in Smethwick and the surrounding areas to come and enjoy their first-ever Smethwick Puppetry Festival (11th-18th February). The Smethwick Puppetry Festival will include puppet shows for both children and families, as well as performances geared towards teenagers and adults. There will be interactive puppetry workshops, an exhibition, and more.
The festival will be hosted at various community venues in Smethwick and Bearwood, including West Smethwick Park, Smethwick Library, Dorothy Parkes Centre, Thimblemill Library, Brushstrokes Community Project, Lightwoods House, and Bearwood Baptist Hall. All events will either be free or pay-what-you-can, and some events require pre-booking in advance.
Lunar New Year Celebrations at Hippodrome Square in Birmingham (FREE)
The Birmingham Lunar New Year Festival 2024 is scheduled for Sunday, February 11, 2024. Organized by Birmingham Hippodrome, Birmingham Chinese Festival Committee, and Birmingham Chinatown Business Association, the celebration will take place in and around Birmingham Hippodrome, spanning the Southside District. Attendees can look forward to incredible performances, family-friendly activities, and craft market stalls. This is a free event in the heart of Birmingham City Centre.
