Since 2014, the collaboration between Magic Light Pictures and Forestry England has delighted families across England, transporting them into the enchanting world of The Gruffalo, The Gruffalo's Child, and Zog, all picture books by the wonderful children's author Julia Donaldson and illustrator Axel Scheffler.
In commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the acclaimed picture book, The Gruffalo, Forestry England invites families from all corners of England to partake in the festivities and revel in The Gruffalo's 25th birthday celebrations through an exhilarating new trail experience "The Gruffalo Party Trail" launching on Wednesday 24th January 2024 and extending indefinitely.
The Gruffalo's 25th birthday trail promises to be a grand celebration in the heart of the forest! Families will be encouraged to collaborate, searching for missing party items while enjoying entertaining activities along the trail. Participants will also gain insights into the intricate ways in which plants and animals care for each other.
The trail will feature five substantial activity panels, two of which will incorporate interactive elements. Additionally, there will be 15 smaller spotter panels where participants can search for The Gruffalo's missing party items.
For those seeking an enhanced experience, an accompanying Gruffalo trail pack will be available for purchase on-site for £4. These packs include a festive party headband, an activity leaflet, stickers, pencils, and crayons, and a woven Gruffalo sew-on patch as a cherished memento.
This remarkable celebratory trail is poised to captivate Gruffalo enthusiasts of all ages, providing a memorable and educational experience amidst the breathtaking beauty of our remarkable forests.
