Dreamgenii SnuggleRoo Baby Carrier
Babywearing is a lifesaver, especially when your newborn just wants to be held all the time. The Dreamgenii SnuggleRoo Baby Carrier makes babywearing easy, even for beginners. It supports multiple carrying positions for your growing baby, from newborn to toddler. The soft fabric is gentle on both the baby’s and parents' skin, and it’s designed to distribute weight evenly, making it comfortable for long wear. It’s also easy to put on without assistance (no clips or annoying buckles), perfect for solo outings!
The Snuggleroo Baby Carrier converts into a convenient travel storage bag and has been uniquely designed to accommodate the international Hip Dysplasia Institute guidelines on safe hip positioning, as it allows baby's hips to fall or spread naturally apart to the side with the thighs supported and the hips and knees bent.
I've used the Dreamgenii SnuggleRoo Baby Carrier for months now, and if you follow me on my socials, you know how much I LOVE it! I use it for school runs, when we're out and about, on the beach, and even around the house when I need two hands to get stuff done. I will be so sad when Noah outgrows it and I can't use it anymore. This is why the baby carrier takes the top spot on my list of 15 new baby essentials!
Shnuggle Air Lite Bedside Crib
Safe, easy co-sleeping is a huge priority for many new parents. The Shnuggle Air Lite Bedside Crib makes it possible to have your baby sleeping right next to you while still in their own space.
The crib can be adjusted to match the height of your bed and has breathable mesh sides, so you can easily check on your baby during the night. It also has a sleek design that fits well in small spaces, and the included mattress is soft yet supportive for your baby’s comfort. It also features an incline option, which is especially helpful for babies who suffer from colic or reflux, offering them a more comfortable sleeping position.
The crib is incredibly lightweight, making it easy to move around the house if needed. Plus, it includes a handy storage hammock underneath, perfect for keeping nappies, blankets, or other essentials within arm's reach.
The bedside crib is on the pricier side compared to other brands, but we swapped our heavy, bulky bedside crib (from a well-known brand) for it, and wouldn't look back!
MAM Anti-Colic Baby Bottles
If you’ve experienced the frustration of a colicky baby, you know how important it is to reduce air intake during feeding. The MAM Anti-Colic Baby Bottles are designed with a special vented base to minimize bubbles and air swallowing, which can help prevent gas and colic.
The unique design also helps the milk flow smoothly, reducing the chances of your baby gulping air. What’s more, these bottles are self-sterilizing, which means no bulky sterilizer is needed – just pop them in the microwave!
I've used MAM bottles with both my sons, and would honestly never use another brand. We trialled Tommee Tippee and Dr Browns for my first, and they're just not on par.
MAM Milk Formula Dispenser
For formula-feeding moms, the MAM Milk Formula Dispenser is a lifesaver, especially when you’re out and about. It has three separate compartments that can hold pre-measured formula, making it easy to prepare a bottle on the go without having to measure out powder when you’re in a hurry. It’s small, easy to clean, and keeps everything hygienic.
I much prefer this over the individual formula pots that Tommee Tippee and Nuby sell. They're too fiddly, and I could never find them deep in the changing bag when I needed them, so the bigger MAM Formula Dispenser with three compartments is a winner for me!
The MAM Dummies have always been a hit with my little ones. They’re designed to support healthy oral development with a symmetrical shape, and they’re made from soft silicone that’s easy for babies to accept. The MAM Dummy Clips are also a godsend for keeping dummies off the ground and preventing them from getting lost, especially when you're out and about or in the car.
Pippeta Wearable Hands-Free Breast Pump
I exclusively pumped for the first two months and would recommend the Pippeta Wearable Hands-Free Breast Pump for those looking for a breast pump. Its compact, cordless design fits discreetly into your bra, allowing you to pump hands-free whether you're at home, at work, or out running errands.
The pump operates quietly, so you can use it without drawing attention, and its multiple suction settings help mimic a natural breastfeeding rhythm for optimal comfort and efficiency. With its easy-to-clean parts and rechargeable battery, it's perfect for moms who need flexibility and convenience while pumping.
Shnuggle Baby Bath
Bath time can be nerve-wracking for new parents, but the Shnuggle Baby Bath makes it much easier and more enjoyable. Its compact size means your baby feels secure, and the supportive backrest and "bum bump" keep them in a comfortable, upright position. The bath’s foam backrest provides extra cushioning, and the non-slip design ensures your baby stays safe while you bathe them.
Plus, it uses less water than a regular baby bath, making it efficient and quick to fill. It’s perfect for newborns and small babies, especially when they’re still getting used to bath time.
Rockit Rocker
There were days when my arms felt like they might fall off from all the rocking! The Rockit Rocker attaches to your pram or stroller and gently rocks your baby so you don’t have to. The soothing, consistent movement mimics a parent’s rocking, which is perfect for babies who need motion to fall asleep.
It’s compact and portable, so you can bring it with you wherever you go, and it’s even quiet enough to use indoors without disturbing your peaceful moments. I so wish the device was around when I had my first!
Milton Cold Water Steriliser
Sterilizing is a non-negotiable when it comes to baby bottles, dummies, and feeding accessories. The Milton Cold Water Steriliser makes this process easy, especially if you don’t want to deal with steam or electric sterilisers.
You just mix the sterilising tablet with cold water, pop your baby’s items into the container, and in 15 minutes, they’re good to go! The items in the sterilised liquid are good for 24 hours! This method is perfect for travel or those times when you’re staying somewhere without access to a microwave or electricity.
We do use the self-sterilising MAM bottles and have a steam steriliser, but after a while, I found that the bottles began to have a weird smell, so I like to use the cold water steriliser every few days as well to make sure the bottles and dummies are as clean as they possibly can be.
Tommee Tippee Perfect Prep Day & Night
The Tommee Tippee Perfect Prep Machine is a lifesaver during those sleep-deprived nights. It prepares a bottle of formula at the perfect temperature in less than two minutes, giving you more time to soothe your baby and less time worrying about cooling down hot water. The night mode is fantastic because it works quietly and has lighting, making it easier to prepare bottles without disturbing your little one or anyone else in the house.
Nuby RapidCool Portable Baby Bottle Maker
Preparing a baby bottle can be stressful, especially when your baby is crying and you’re trying to get the water to the perfect temperature. The Nuby RapidCool Bottle Maker solves this by cooling boiled water to the right temperature in just two minutes. You can prepare your bottles quickly and confidently without having to guess if it’s too hot or cold. It’s portable and ideal for taking with you on trips or even just to have ready at home during late-night feeds.
You could, however, prepare your baby's bottle the traditional way with a flask of boiling water and a flask of cool boiled water. I don't know why I just find this way a bit quicker - it saves waiting for the boiled water to cool. I do only use this when we're out and about, though. Nuby do sell the double set, with the insulated thermal flask and RapidCool flask - but I personally preferred to use a Thermos Flask because it keeps the water hotter for longer (up to 12 hours!)
Pampers Premium Protection Nappies
Choosing the right nappies can be tricky. I've trialled loads from Aldi's, Tesco's, Asda's, but I’ve found that Pampers Premium Protection Nappies (the new ones, with the blue stop and protect pocket at the back) offer the best blend of comfort and protection.
They’re soft on delicate newborn skin, with a unique liner that absorbs wetness away from your baby’s skin to prevent rashes. I also love the wetness indicator, which changes colour when the nappy is full – it’s such a helpful feature for those early days when you’re still figuring out your baby’s needs.
The Gro Company Ollie the Owl Light and Sound Sleep Aid
Sleep aids can be a great help in establishing a bedtime routine, and Ollie the Owl from The Gro Company quickly became a staple in our nursery. Ollie plays white noise, lullabies, and gentle heartbeat sounds to soothe your baby to sleep.
The soft nightlight is perfect for nighttime feeds and changes, and the cry sensor means Ollie automatically starts playing when your baby stirs, helping them settle back down without your intervention.
Pipi Bear Changing Backpack
A good changing bag is essential, and the Pipi Bear Changing Backpack ticked all the boxes for me. It’s spacious enough to carry everything you need for baby, with separate compartments for nappies, wipes, bottles, and clothes (13 pockets in total). The insulated pockets are a fantastic addition, keeping baby bottles warm or cool for longer, which is incredibly convenient for feeding on the go.
The best part is that it’s hands-free, so you can carry your baby, push a stroller, or just have your hands free for other tasks. It’s stylish too, so you don’t feel like you’re lugging around a typical nappy bag.
Nappy Caddy
Having a nappy caddy is a game-changer for organizing baby supplies around the house. You can keep nappies, nappy bags, wipes, creams, and other essentials all in one place, making nappy changes quick and easy no matter where you are. I found it especially helpful to have one in the living room and one upstairs, so I didn’t have to run back and forth all day.
Muslin Squares
Trust me when I say you can never have enough muslin squares! These lightweight, breathable cloths have so many uses – burping, wiping up spills, covering up during breastfeeding, and even doubling as a quick changing pad in a pinch. They’re soft on your baby’s skin, highly absorbent, and easy to wash. Plus, they fold up small enough to throw into any bag, and they come in handy every single day!
