Sunflower Fields and Pick Your Own in the Midlands 2022

Who doesn't love bright and beautiful sunflowers?! And what's better than taking your little ones to pick a stem or bunch of beautiful "sunshine" flowers. Sunflower fields have become so popular over the last few years and it's not surprising why! The sea of sunflowers make a perfect backdrop for family photographs or portraits and is a great place for your children to get hands-on and learn about the flower life cycle. If you're from the Midlands and are looking for a spot of sunflower heaven check out the farms below, and do remember to take your wellies with you.

The Farm at Stratford Upon Avon are opening their first-ever Pick your Own Sunflower Field on Tuesday 3rd August until Friday 6th August, 10am until 2pm. No booking required! The team at the farm will lend you a pair of secateurs, where you can pick 5 stems for £5. They have a range of sunflowers and wild meadow flowers to pick from and will add a little ribbon to your sunflower bunch to take home. As well as the sunflower field, The Farm has a few animals on site, a Farm Shop filled with delicious goodness, a Restaurant and a children's play area.

To keep up to date head over to their website or social media channels and don't forget to tag them in your photos @thefarmstratford!

Address: Kings Lane, Stratford-Upon-Avon, CV37 0QA.

Pick your own sunflowers for charity at Lodge Farm! This year, proceeds from the sunflower field will be going to two great causes: Shipston Home Nursing and Cyclists Fighting Cancer. In addition to the sunflower field, Jilly who runs the event (and who is also a trained pastry chef!) will also be selling yummy cakes and brownies.

The sunflowers will be blooming from mid to late August, be sure to head over to their socials for updates: www.facebook.com/lodgefarmsunflowers/

Address: Lodge Farm, Kineton, CV35 0JH (next door to Compton Verney).

Home to the amazing Confetti Flower Field that we all saw and loved a few months ago, The Real Flower Petal Confetti Company are hoping to open a separate sunflower field in late August! Due to the weather that we have had over the past few months which has affected the sunflower growth at all farms, specific opening dates and other details cannot be confirmed just yet. But be sure to follow The Real Flower Petal Confetti Company over on social media for updates!

Address: Wyke Manor, Wick, Pershore, Worcestershire, WR10 3NZ.

This year, Malt Kiln Farm Shop are growing three sunflower patches! They hope the first patch will be ready very soon (within a few weeks). The sunflowers will be available to purchase in the shop and to handpick yourself. To find out when the sunflower patches will be open, be sure to follow them on their social media channels. As well as sunflowers, you can currently also pick strawberries, raspberries, gooseberries, rhubarb and much more! Booking a time slot online is recommended.

Address: Main Street, Stretton under Fosse, Rugby, CV23 0PE.

Glebe Farm's sunflower field is now open! One ticket is required per car (costing £7) which includes a bunch of 6 sunflower stems (any additional bunches are £5 each). Be sure to bring your own scissors with you and why not bring a picnic too! If you would like to book tickets click here.
