22 Halloween Events For Less Than £10pp In The Midlands

It's that time of year again! Just like that, Halloween has crept up on us. I really don't know where this year has gone.


If you're looking for some lower-cost ideas for Halloween, here are 22 ideas organised by location. The ideas are a mix of just pumpkin patches to Halloween walks, and trails.


But. do remember, if you are a National Trust member, some locations across the Midlands are hosting Halloween activities and trails. This makes for a super cheap day out! Halloween trail maps usually cost £3, but you don't necessarily need a map to join in with all the fun!


𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥 & 𝐃𝐮𝐝𝐥𝐞𝐲


1. Forge Mill Farm


What? Pumpkin picking and farm visit. Get some awesome photos, pick your perfect pumpkin, explore the funky friends' bale trail, and explore the farm. PLUS pumpkin photo booths (half term only).

How much? Adults £3.50 each, children £4.50 each, under 2s free. Family ticket (two adults and up to three children) £18. Pumpkins to be paid for separately.

When? 8th, 9th, 14th-30th October 2022.

Where? Forge Mill Farm, Forge lane, West Bromwich, B71 3SZ.



2. Little Lobsters Play Centre


What? A pumpkin party for under 5s, including 1 hour 30 min play session, disco

fancy dress, children's buffet, and Halloween fun!

How much? £10 per child. Pre-booking required.

When? Thursday 20th October and Friday 21st October 2022 at 5pm.

Where? Little Lobsters, Unit 1 The Crystal Centre, 6 Platts Road, Amblecote, Stourbridge West Midlands, DY8 4YR.



3. Sycamore Adventure


What? Family fun session, including slime bath, Hocus Pocus scavenger hunt, fancy dress, arts and crafts, Halloween "Where's Wally", hot chocolate, and marshmallows around the campfire.

How much? £4 suggested donation per child.

When? Monday 24th October / Wednesday 26th October / Friday 28th October 11am till 4pm, Saturday 29th October 11am till 2pm.

SEND sessions are on Tuesday 25th October and Thurday 27th October 10am till 4pm.

Where? Sycamore Adventure, Sycamore Green, Dudley DY1 3QE.


4. RSPB Sandwell Valley


What? Big Wild Halloween Party that includes an after-dark nature walk, a campfire, listening to some spooky stories, creating some natural Halloween decorations, and discovering the wildlife that uses the reserve at night. Families are welcome to wear fancy dress and bring blankets to sit around the campfire.

Some of the activities are outdoors, so please wear suitable footwear. The visitor centre and toilets will be open, and we'll be selling hot/cold drinks and snacks.

How much? Non-members are £8.50 per child and £4.50 per adult.

When? Tuesday 25th October, 2022 from 5pm - 7pm.

5. Essington Farm


What? PYO pumpkins.

How much? Entry is £2.50 each. 3s and under go free. Entry fee does not include a pumpkin. Pumpkins range in price from £2 to £12 depending on the size.

When? 1st, 2nd, 8th, 9th, 15th-23rd Oct. Essington Farm will be releasing tickets for the final week of October closer to the time!

6. Beech House Farm Pumpkins



What? Pumpkin Patch.

How much? FREE entry. Pay for what you pick.

When? 15th, 16th, 22nd-30th October 2022.

Where? Beech House Farm Pumpkins, Seisdon, Nr Wolverhampton, WV5 7EP.


7. The Kingswood Trust


What? Pumpkin Parade & Spooky Walk at The Kingswood Trust

How much? £10 family ticket, includes 5 people in 1 vehicle. Additional entry in a car with 5+ passengers +£2.50.

When? Friday 21st October 4pm - 6.30pm and Saturday 22nd October 10am - 1pm.

Where? The Kingswood Trust, Holyhead Road, Wolverhampton WV7 3AP.


8. Wood Hall Farm


What? Haunted Woodland Walk & Pumpkin Patch

How much? £5 per car (to be pre-booked online). Pumpkin purchases are cash only on the day of your visit.

When? Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th, Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th and then daily from Saturday 22nd to Sunday 30th October. 10am to 5pm.

9. Northycote Farm


What? Free Halloween trail through Tudor Farmhouse.

How much? FREE. Donations welcomed.

When? Sunday 30th October 2022, 11am-3pm.

10. The Pumpkin Patch at Iverley



What? PYO pumpkins.

11. Bodenham Arboretum

What? Halloween Pumpkin Walk

How much? Prices vary slightly depending on if you pick the nighttime torchlit walk or the daytime pumpkin walk. See here for more info.

12. Spetchley Gardens


What? Escape from Oz: Live, interactive performance with an Oz quest and trail.

How much? Adult ticket £9 each, child £5 each (aged 3-16). Family ticket £25.

When? 24th - 28th October 2022.

13. Witley Court Gardens


What? Ghoulishly good day out at Witley Court.

Follow Dennis, Gnasher, and friends to solve creepy clues on the fun family quest around the gardens. Then, meet costumed performers to hear tall tales of the strange, the supernatural, and the downright silly.

How much? £10 per adult, £6 per child (5-17 years), under 5s free. Free for English Heritage members.⁣⁣

14. The Great Worcester Maize Maze


What? PYO pumpkins.

15. Top Barn Farm


What? Pumpkin patch.

How much? FREE entry. Pay for what you pick.

When? Open from the 1st October.

16. Severn Valley Cottage


What? PYO pumpkins, pumpkin trail around the patch, pumpkin carving on site available, tea cup ride and hook-a-duck games (weather permitting), goats and various other animals.

How much? FREE entry. Rides and pumpkins are an additional cost.

When? Open from Saturday 1st, then every weekend throughout October. They will also be open every day during half-term week. Open from 10am to 4pm.

17. Arley Arboretum & Gardens


What? Halloween themed trail

How much? Adults £6, Children 3-15 years: £3.50 including interactive trail (given on arrival), Under 3s free.

When? Wednesday 26th October to Sunday 30th October 2022.

19. Bednall Pumpkins

20. Canalside Farm


What? PYO pumpkins and maize maze.

How much? £3 per person, under 2s free. Pre-booking is essential. Pay for what you pick.

21. Lichfield Maize Maze


What? PYO pumpkins, maize maze, bale mountain, play in the giant sandpit, and mini tractor yard.

How much? Adults £7 each, children £5 each, aged 0-2 go free, family ticket £22. Use code ‘spooky10’ at checkout for 10% off! Pumpkins are to be purchased separately and will be priced depending on size.
